We are a non profit organization with over 1200 members, organizations and individuals, working together to develop a democratic, transparent, just and socially and environmentally responsible economy. The combined annual income of sales of our good and services exceeds 250 million euros, and the innovative business solutions of our members are often internationally recognized.

In the four years since its founding, Cooperative for Ethical Financing is leading the charge when it comes to innovative business models - we are setting up the first ethical bank in Croatia, the first green electricity supply, and we are soon bringing exciting solutions from the world of fintech. We are increasing our membership by the day and that is the best (and our favorite) proof that we are doing a good job.

The members of the cooperative are also the co-owners of its assets and they democratically decide on all key issues regarding the cooperative and elect members of the governing bodies of the cooperative. According to criteria of regional affiliation, business specialization and areas of specialization the members are structured into regions (for member individuals) and sections (for member organizations), and upon becoming a member of the cooperative, the individual or organization chooses which region or section to become a member of, and has the right to participate in creating their respective programs and policies within ZEF.

By becoming a member of the Cooperative for Ethical Financing our members are joining ZEF’s internal market for trading goods and services and becoming a part of our platform for exchange of knowledge and skills. They also receive access to business and financial consulting and other services, as well as support in applying for EU and other project funds.
